    ACC steam annulus velocity

    Dear all,


    I'm working in 3×1 CCPP and is commonly operated 2×1 combined cycle configuration, with it exist the possibility to decrease the ACC pressure set-point and get more power output from the steam turbine. But I know at lower absolutely pressure, the reduction is accompanied by an increase in steam annulus velocity (VAN) and I’ve heard if you increase the VAN the result is a flow accelerated corrosion prematurely.


    VAN ≈ 415ft/s @ 55mbar


    Another query is the final pressure of the Rankine bottoming cycle, Do you have any difference between absolutely pressure around the LP Last stage and ACC pressure set-point control located downstream?


    If you have experience and can provide some advice, it would be appreciated.
