      To All:

The venue for the 2026 meeting of the air-cooled condenser users group is set. The meeting will be held at Hilton’s DoubleTree hotel in Clarksville, Tennessee, July 14-16, which is about an hour’s drive northwest of Nashville. Groome Transportation, taxi or rideshare are options if you don’t rent a vehicle. Rooms are set aside for the meeting; you can book the hotel on the ACCUG website at https://acc-usersgroup.org/ [acc-usersgroup.org] or with the hotel directly, giving the name of the meeting to registration staff. In the event that all rooms are booked, alternative hotels are available in Clarksville.

It is anticipated that registration will be available on the ACCUG website by April 8, 2026, after 10 AM US Eastern Time.

If you plan to tour the ACC at TVA’s Cumberland combined cycle plant, please note that non-US citizens are required to fill out an authorization form and receive approval in advance. Contact myself (aghowell19@gmail.com) if you need this form.

The meeting will cover the usual topics of Chemistry & Corrosion, Design & Performance, and Operation & Maintenance, but will have a special emphasis on startup of new ACCs. Attendees with experience in new ACC startup are encouraged to share their findings, either by presentation with slides or during meeting discussion. On this topic, short experience reports with few slides are welcome, but please inform in advance so your report can be scheduled.

There are plenty of spaces for presentations at this point, so please contact anyone on the Steering Committee if you have technical information of potential interest to attendees that you are willing to communicate. The frequency of ACC installations in new power plant construction is increasing rapidly as the availability of water for cooling purposes faces increasing restrictions.

Looking forward to a good opportunity for technical exchange and hearing from industry experts at the meeting in July!

      For the Steering Committee,
