In supercritical power plant of 800 MW with air cooled condenser, the deaerator startup vent and normal operating vent (periodically opened, normally closed) is connected to hot box. So, the liberated undissolved gases including oxygen will go to Hot Box. So, deaerator vent will get mixed with LP turbine exhaust steam in Hot Box and travel to ACC top and finally from deflagmentor section, complete non-condensible gases will be removed by vacuum pump.
Question :
a) Connecting deaerator vent (0.5% of TMCR steam) to Hot Box – whether any corrossion may happen or it is ok
b) What is practice followed in other big size thermal power plant (660 MW and more) with ACC ?
