Martin is the founder of Power Plant Documentation Services, Inc. (PPDS, Inc.) serving as Principle Consultant, Field Technical Advisor, and Senior Technical Writer. Martin possesses over 30 years of power industry experience and has contributed to the management and operation of numerous power generation facilities during commissioning, start-up, operation, and maintenance evolutions as well as documentation development and training of plant operations personnel. Martin is a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served, with honor, for six years as a Boiler Technician (BT2). Upon leaving the military Martin has worked within the power industry as Shift Supervisor and O&M Manager for two biomass power plants, Mechanical Start-up Engineer, Technical Writer, Support Services Manager for Power Industry Consultants, Commissioning Manager for REV1, SPX and B&W SPIG Dry Cooling and Solar Commissioning Manager for Black and Veatch. Organized, methodical, and results driven, Martin prides himself on a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a deep seated nature to deliver quality results, on-time customer service, and client satisfaction with every job. Born and raised in Millinocket, Maine, Martin is married to Tatiana Linares-Nieto Cyr, the proud father to five children, and currently resides with his wife and two of his children in the Tampa, Florida area.
